Reports

SP-Bench has a set of standard, pre-built reports which allow you to quickly analyse key service benchmarks. The tool allows you to configure and save your own custom reports and to view a dashboard of key management information for your LA.

All the reports are based on pivot tables and can be modified or “drilled-down” by the user to view more specific data.

Quick-filters allow you to easily filter the data by:

  • Service Type
  • Accommodation Type
  • Primary Client Group
  • Support Duration
  • Support Provision
  • Household Units Available
  • Number of Staff

Dashboard

SP-Bench implements advanced comparison techniques to allow you to compare your services to similar ones from Authorities similar to your own.

These techniques include comparison groupings available for LAs:

  • Nearest Neighbours from CIPFA - uses key demographic indicators to measure the similarity of one authority to another and selects the nearest neighbours for comparison.
  • Area classification from National Statistics – groups authorities with similar demographic features such as household composition, socioeconomic character and industry.
  • Authority type – groups into types such as: London Boroughs, Metropolitan Districts, County Councils, Unitary Authorities, Non-Metropolitan Districts.
